| Digital Heritage: Symposium, exhibition and study edition of video art in Germany from 1963 to the present This initiative project by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (The German Federal Cultural Foundation) documents the fact that one of the prominent genres of 20th-century art is part of Germany's cultural heritage. It has thus developed an agenda to promote and mediate specific competencies with regard to the panorama of video art productions in Germany. The exhibition "40yearsvideoart.de–Part 1" which runs from March 25 to May, 21, 2006 brings this two-year project to an end.  more The project is supported by five leading art institutions in Germany: K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Dusseldorf (project carrier) and ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (project organisation) in cooperation with the partners Kunsthalle Bremen, Lenbachhaus Munich, and Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig. The Goethe-Institut is our partner in order to communicate the project on an international level. |
